Florian Werner

Florian Werner, born in Berlin in 1971, writes narrative nonfiction and prose, plays soccer on the German national author's team, teaches as a guest lecturer at various universities, and works for radio.

His books, including The Cow. Leben, Werk und Wirkung (Nagel & Kimche 2009), have been translated into English, Spanish, and Japanese, among other languages, and have won several awards.

Most recently published: The Wisdom of the Guillemot. What We Can Learn from Animals (Blessing 2018) and The Path of Least Resistance. A Walking Book (Nagel & Kimche 2018).

Florian Werner lives with his family in Berlin.
