dorisdean is a free performance company from North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, consisting of performers with different physicalities.
Since 2011 dorisdean has been creating performances on questions of human coexistence, communication and discomfort. The attention is always focused on the defect, the imperfection in/of the human being, the stigma. Fears, tensions, questions about normalities and principles of social contexts are examined.
The group creates perceptual shifts in the audience and puts itself up for discussion. Using interdisciplinary methods from music, dance and performance, dorisdean explores uncertainty and attentiveness.
Winner of the Jury Prize Favorites Fastival 2016, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Science NRW and the Fonds Darstellender Künste des Bundes.
