Bettina Wilpert, born in 1989, grew up near Altötting. Among other things, she studied literary writing at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig. In her texts, she dealt with sexualized violence, strikes, and abortion, among other topics. Her debut novel nichts, was uns passiert was published by Verbrecher Verlag in 2018 and has won several awards, including the ZDF-aspekteLiteraturpreis. She lives in Leipzig.
