The project judge a book by its cover revolves around the topic of artist books, a form that is hundreds of years old. Five artists rediscover this form anew today, in the digital age. Over the course of a symposium, we will discuss the experiments that have come about through this and make lectures, conversations and performances accessible online.

judge a book by its cover ist eine interdisziplinäre Werkstatt von Burg Hülshoff – Center for Literature, Kloster Bentlage Rheine und Literaturmuseum Haus Nottbeck, gefördert durch den Deutschen Literaturfonds und das Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes NRW im Förderprogramm »Regionale Kulturpolitik«.
