Dominic Robertson / Ergo Phizmiz is a composer, writer, radio artist, opera maker, collagist, and film-maker. Their work, which exceeds 400 hours of released materials, has been disseminated worldwide over the past 20 years. In Germany they are primarily known for their radio productions for BR, WDR and dRadioKultur, including Hollywood: A Bestiary, Die Bayerische Prinzessin and Animalium Kepler 22B. Most recently Ergo is collaboration with the Deutsche Symphonie Orchester as animator / video-collagist for new productions of works by Hindemith & Martinu. Ergo has also collaborated with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Tate Modern, the Royal Festival Hall, the BBC, WFMU, Resonance FM, and has produced countless independent DIY artistic productions. Their work is profiled in the documentary The Life and Dreams of Ergo Phizmiz by Iain Chambers, which recently won Best Documentary at Beyond the Curve Film Festival, Paris.
