This is a performative tour. Writer Olivia Wenzel and curator Julia Lerch-Zajączkowska are our guides in the Droste Museum, where the main object is the epoch of German Biedermeier. But within this world, invisible things and narrations are now brought to light. How is 19th century life in the castle connected to European colonialism? How do paintings contribute to racism? Does remembering an event mean fabricating it? Can we communicate with objects in the museum as if they were subjects? Aren’t they subjects? Come with us and explore what makes this museum a museum

Dark Light Dark is a production of Burg Hülshoff - Center for Literature. The conception was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
