Özlem Özgül Dündar is a freelance author and studied literature and philosophy in Wuppertal and at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig. She writes poetry, prose, theatre plays, radio plays and essays. She published the poetry collection ‘gedanken zerren’ (2018, Elif) and was co-editor of the anthology ‘Flexen - Flaneusen* schreiben Städte’ (2019, Verbrecher). Her plays have been performed at various theatres and have also been set to music as radio plays. She performs with her collectives Ministerium für Mitgefühl and kollektiv flexen and has been organising the reading series ZÜRN in Leipzig since 2023. Guest publisher at Elif Verlag from 2024. prizes, among others: Kelag Prize in Klagenfurt 2018, Kaas & Kappen Dutch-German Children's and Youth Drama Prize 2023, currently nominated for the German Youth Theatre Prize 2024.
