Felicitas Rohden

Felicitas Rohden is a visual artist and deals with the complexity of scientific phenomena and their possible visualisations in her sculptures, artist books and installations.
She studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with A.R.Penck, Rita McBride und Georg Herold and achieved her Masters in Fine Art in 2009. Since then her work has been shown in various solo and group exhibitions, notably at Kunst & Denker Contemporary / Duesseldorf (DE), ZERO Foundation / Duesseldorf (DE), Kunstmuseum Weserburg / Bremen (DE), Jagla Ausstellungsraum / Cologne (DE), Kunsthalle Duesseldorf (DE), De Warande / Turnhout (BE), SALOON / Brussels (BE), KIT - Kunst im Tunnel / Duesseldorf (DE), CC Brugge Musea (BE), Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen / Duesseldorf (DE).
She received grants and residency opportunities by institutions such as MASS MoCA Museum of Contemporary Art (USA), Goethe-Institut São Paulo (BR), Istanbul Stipendium by Kunststiftung NRW (TR), Künstlerdorf Schoeppingen (DE) and Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen (DE)
Next to her artistic practice, she has been involved in numerous mediation projects for museums and art institutions (e.g. kunstsammlung NRW, Bundeszentrale für politische bildung).
She is also a lecturer at the Fine Art department at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerp (BE)
She works and lives in Brussels and Duesseldorf.
