Eran Schaerf (*1962 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa) is a writer, artist, radio play and filmmaker. In his projects he works on various themes and interfaces such as fashion, mass media, language, environment and politics. His work has been exhibited at Documenta IX, Kassel (1992), the Venice Biennale (2011) and Museum Ludwig Cologne (2018), among others.
Eran Schaerf and Eva Meyer have been working together on radio plays and film projects since the 1990s. In the process, Eva Meyer's cinematographic writing practice and Eran Schaerf's cross-genre work between narrative and play led to a third, shared practice. Since 1997 they have been working together on a "memory of two" and the architectures of its narration. Most recently, their films Pro Testing (2010) and My Memory is Watching Me (2008) were screened at international film festivals, including Vienna and Rotterdam.
