Daniel Laufer (*1975 in Hanover) is currently curator of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk's artist sponsorship program DAGESH, which promotes Jewish artists and deals with Jewish aspects of art and culture.

Daniel Laufer studied from 1999 to 2004 at the Braunschweig University of Fine Arts with Birgit Hein, Marina Abramovic and Walter Dahn, with whom he graduated as a master student in 2004.
In recent years Daniel Laufer has presented his work in numerous exhibitions worldwide, including Artists Space, New York, Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, Kunstmuseum Bonn and Jewish Museum Berlin.

In his most recent work, the film Timeline, he plays with different techniques in order to shake up temporal processes and perception; viewers become part of a paradoxical movement.
