**After her acting training, Cornelia Kupferschmid played as a member of the ensemble at the Städtische Bühnen Münster from 1998 to 2002. Since 2002 she has been working successfully as a freelance actress, play developer, director, festival director and lecturer for performative play development and communication in Germany, the Netherlands and Argentina.

She is co-founder (2006) of Fetter Fisch - Performance I Theater, of which she is the sole artistic director since 2015. Invitations to renowned festivals such as Starke Stücke, Westwind, Spielarten, Kaleidoskop, Halbstark, Favoriten, guest performances in Germany and abroad, the funding "Doppelpass" by the Federal Cultural Foundation with the Theater Münster (20122014) as the contract to develop an interdisciplinary opening performance on the occasion of the new building of the Landesmuseum in Münster testify to the quality of this work. Fetter Fisch's work stands for innovative, body-oriented, fun and powerful performances that take a risk with their aesthetic concept and seek direct contact, interaction with the audience.

In 2019, she has taken over the artistic direction of the festival "New Walls", which was to be held in May 2020 at the Theater Münster and was moved to the net due to Corona, New Walls - Plan B.

Together with Carola von Seckendorff, Cornelia Kupferschmid has formed the core of FreiFrau in the area of artistic direction since 2015. Their first joint large-scale project (in addition to "smaller" projects) 24 Hours Münster euphorized participants and spectators alike and led to the founding of the City Ensemble. The core idea of the city ensemble is the collaboration of people from the most diverse artistic fields, educational backgrounds and social classes, who come together on a theme and work professionally in a non-hierarchical way, together and at eye level. The three-year funding "Neue Wege" (New Ways) by the Kultursekretariat Wuppertal enables the Stadtensemble to continue this idea in cooperation with the Theater Münster.
