Bettina Henningsen, born in Flensburg in 1974, studies Modern German Literature and History at the Free University of Berlin. She is a dramaturge and director for dance theater projects and multimedia performances and chairwoman of the international artists' association White Elephant Collective e. V.. In 2016, together with Joachim Goldschmidt (ProArtiSt Münster) and Dean Ruddock, she founded the artist collective TanzPoeten, which develops new hybrid and experimental art formats at the interface between literature and dance. In addition, she has been active since 2008 as a curator and cultural manager, among others for the poesiefestival berlin, and in cultural education, initiating and organizing concerts and workshops for children and young people in Berlin. Her poems and texts have been published in numerous journals, including Orte, Kolik, and Der Maulkorb.
