Bernhard Robben, born in 1955, lives in Brunne/Brandenburg and translates from English, among others: Ian McEwan, John Burnside Salman Rushdie, John Steinbeck, John Williams, Patricia Highsmith and Philip Roth. In 2003 he received the Translator's Prize of the Foundation for Art and Culture of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and in 2013 he was honored with the Ledig-Rowohlt Prize for his life's work.
