Alia Trabucco Zerán

Alia Trabucco Zerán was born in Santiago in 1983. Her debut novel La Resta (The Rest) won the prize for best unpublished literary work awarded by the Consejo Nacional del Libro de Chile. The novel was shortlisted for the 2019 Man Booker International and has been translated into seven languages. Her second book is Las Homicidas, a feminist account of four Chilean female murderers. Trabucco also studied law and was personally involved in the recent unrest in Chile and in efforts to rewrite the country's constitution.
